Alimenta Systems (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Alimenta mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. We use Google Firebase Authentication to manage sign-in securely.

Nutrition & Health Data

The App collects food log entries, meal plans, macro targets, and dietary preferences that you provide. If you enable Apple HealthKit integration, we read workout and active energy data from HealthKit to display burned calories. We do not write any data to HealthKit.

Photos

If you use the photo-based food logging feature, images are sent to our servers for AI-powered nutritional analysis. Photos are processed in real time and are not stored permanently on our servers.

Usage Data

We may collect anonymized usage analytics to understand how the App is used and to improve the experience. This does not include personally identifiable information.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the App’s core features
• To generate personalized meal plans and nutritional estimates
• To sync HealthKit data (only when you explicitly enable it)
• To improve the App and develop new features
• To communicate important updates about the service

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud servers hosted by Google Cloud Platform. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, but no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

• OpenAI — AI-powered food analysis and meal planning
• Apple HealthKit — Workout data (read-only, opt-in)

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can disable HealthKit access at any time through the App’s settings or your device’s Health app. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the “Last updated” date.
